3 reasons to register for the Build Peace conference

The 2021 Build Peace Conference is starting soon! This year’s theme is Computer Says No, where we’ll get to reflect on digital adaptations, digital conflict, and the long term impacts of the pandemic on peacebuilding and social justice. This conference is for the entire Build Peace community of practice, including practitioners, activists, academics, policy makers, artists and technologists from around the world that share experiences and advance knowledge on emergent challenges to peace in a digital age, and peacebuilding innovations to address these challenges. You won’t want to miss it. Here are three reasons you should register for the conference!
1. The line-up!

Yes, we’d much rather be together in person for the conference, but as we know well, being virtual does have some advantages. The best advantage is being able to gather from so many different places. With a virtual conference, you can attend from anywhere you have a decent Internet connection. You’ll also be able to access all recorded sessions afterwards. If you’re worried about yet another life-draining event of looking at a computer all day long, don’t be! The conference is spread out over 1 week with consistent bite-sized sessions that will fit into your schedule and leave you wanting more, not less!
3. A ticket price for everyone!
Conference tickets are donation-based, which means we ask you to consider your economic possibilities, and decide on a price that fits you. From $1 to $100, there is a ticket price for everyone! It is our intention that, with donation-based tickets and with the conference being virtual, there’s a spot for anyone who wants to attend.

We believe that the Build Peace community is defining new pathways to build peace that focus on enhancing citizen participation in peace, using technology and creativity as critical tools, entry points or frameworks.
